Better late than never!  Links take you to Goodreads.com for my full reviews.

Read anything good this month?

A Hint of Wicked, by Jennifer Haymore
4 stars
A great twist on the Regency Romance, with a lot of spice.

A Matter of Class, by Mary Balogh
5 stars
Short, sweet and with a surprise ending!  (Unusual for a romance.)

Prince of Darkness, by Sharon Kay Penman
3 stars
Book 4 in Penman’s series, this one finds Justin de Quincy working with the Prince of Darkness himself – Prince John of Mortain.

A Company of Swans, by Charlotte Ibbotsen
1 star
A trite and foolish story of a wanna-be-ballerina who escapes to Brazil and gives it all up for love.

Empress Orchid, by Anchee Min
3 stars
Coming of age story of the young girl who would become China’s Empress in the mid-nineteenth century.  It’s no Becoming Madam Mao.

Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater
5 stars
Everything Twilight could have been and so much more.  Highly recommend for all interested in good YA lit and/or paranormals.

When Things Fall Apart, by Pema Chödrön
5 stars
A powerful little book about how to navigate the grieving process or anytime in your life you feel lost.

Radical Acceptance, by Tara Brach
5 stars
Despite the uber-feminist, new-agey title, this is a fantastic book for self-acceptance and self-awareness.  Highly recommended for all women.
